Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
An upgrade item is a unique item that will make certain Pokemon develop. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a PokeStop's photo disc, and is often given as a reward at Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be used on armors, weapons trinkets, weapons, as well as gathering tools to raise their item level. The upgrade cost Flightstones and crests, dependent on the item type.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons, armors and gathering tools to add attribute bonuses or other effects while the equipment being used. The equipment that is upgraded must have an available upgrade slot to accept the component, and most upgrade components require the item being upgraded to be at the specified level. Some upgrade components have special visual effects that are visible when they are used. There are a variety of upgrade components available, each offering various bonuses. Universal upgrades like gems and inscriptions can be used on any kind of equipment. They offer fewer bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions are used in non-amulet equipment that is ascended and legendary equipment, and enrichments are used for some ascended back items. The majority of upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and reinserted freely.
Insignias or enchantments, as well as upgrades with prefixes or suffixes will be displayed in the hover display of the item, and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. an Radiant Insignia could change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The number of upgrade components added to an equipment piece will be displayed in the tooltip for the item.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements such as ligatures, ornaments, fractions, swashes, registered trademark symbols and ellipses. The Glyphs panel allows you to look up and insert these unique characters along with normal glyphs, such as em dashes and en dieshes registered trademark symbols, as well as characters that are not found in other fonts (such as dingbats).
Each Glyph provides a primary stat boost for the character. It also comes with up to four Secondary Stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a percentage boost that is multiplied by additional bonuses, with the exception of Speed Glyphs that directly increase the speed of the hero.
Selecting the Glyphs and clicking "enchant" will activate the Glyphs. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you have that can be applied to the item you have selected. You only need to apply the appropriate Glyph to the item you have selected. Each weapon or armor piece has a different collection of Glyphs.
You can increase the level of Glyphs by working through Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the greater the amount of Glyph experience that you will earn. Once a Glyph has reached level 15 it can be upgraded using the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The upgrade of a Glyph increases its radius on the Paragon Board by one node every 15 levels.
Once item upgrade has been upgraded to its desired level You can activate it by selecting it and then clicking the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will give the stated bonus and also boost all the other nodes within its range on the Paragon Board. It's crucial to place glyphs in the best locations to benefit your build, and this is why it's a good idea to prioritize Magic Glyphs early on. Some glyphs, however, could offer double bonuses if certain conditions are met and therefore are worth checking out for too.
Click the cycle widget to alter the view of the Glyphs Panel. Each of these views displays the Glyphs using a different font. You can narrow down the list of glyphs you want to see by selecting an option below "Entire Font". For example, punctuation is only displayed in punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols limit the options to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is the process of creating a new account in order to increase your chances of obtaining the weapon or character you want. This can be done to aid in your progress to higher levels or to obtain better loot, such as a better weapon for your character. Many players will reroll until they have the characters that they like, regardless of their power. It could be because they like the style or the personality of the character.
It is important to make a clean change when you roll back. You should test locally if the patch passes the pre-commit test and run a core dev check. You should upload the patch with a plain difference to an issue (see What is an interdiff?) ).
Rerolls can take a few days or weeks depending on how lucky you are. To cut down on time be sure to avoid the enemy camps which are not mandatory during this time. Also, avoid repeating quests that you can complete later on in the game. This will save you time and energy.
Another important aspect to consider when rerolling is to make sure you are aware of the upgrade system. There are many ways to improve your character's appearance and strength. These can include upgrading your weapons, rerolling your characters and purchasing upgrades. Additionally, it is important to know the limitations of the upgrade system.
Rerolling may not be a necessity however it can be an option to increase your chances of getting the right character or weapon. It can be helpful if you're looking for the most effective character to play or if you're wanting to try different builds and play styles.
Sets
A set is an object collection that has 2 common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a group). Sets allow for operations like union, intersection and difference.
When you upgrade an item, it becomes an upgraded version that is superior to the previous version. This means that weapons and armor will have a greater defense and lower requirements for strength.
Upgrades are a great way to bring popular single-set items to the same level as their higher-tier set counterparts. For instance upgrading Guillaume's Face Helm to Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 and reduces the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in a set are suitable for upgrading. Some sets, such as the FB Sorc Whistan's Shield, a spec's item or Naj's Puzzler staff, are already exceptional and elite in their individual ways and do not require any upgrades. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are used frequently may require an upgrade to boost their stats. It might be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
