World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.
For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be used. In contrast to other mods components can only be used one time; they can't be used multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of an armored weapon or. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.
The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve after a future reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it's possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate chance of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.
In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are some rare Glyphs that can be found in the form of drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus which will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in key spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each item level requires a different amount of components to reach and the cost of upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an individual player upgrades a piece of equipment, the base item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor will be upgraded to an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may become more expensive even if you do not need it.
If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a different set of bonus bonuses. upgrade item is a good idea however it shouldn't be done often as it can waste resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player continuously enters or exits the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time increasing the maximum roll by an increment of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of a non-upgraded version.
Requirements
The upgrader for items allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it has a chance of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, requiring the player to pay more for materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition the item will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or reload speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance it will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is applied.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined by its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items are less expensive per upgrade.
Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For instance they may require fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. The player will need to bring every piece of equipment they want to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade will require a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
