You can put them on your armor or weapon using the Equipment Enchanting option. You can also make them in major towns by visiting NPCs in various towns with the right recipe. There are item upgrades of Growth Materials and each one can be used for different purposes. These special events in game are able to distribute Item Enhancers to mark the achievement of a certain point or be offered as part of challenges that have an established duration.
